Alison Chesley

Alison works in acrylic and takes her primary inspiration from nature including her gardens, local New Hampshire wildlife and walks in the woods.

She attended the Rhode Island School of Design and comes from a family of artists.

The paintings are a daily practice of the gift of the imagination, the beauty of the present moment, and the inter-play of light, texture,form and movement.

Alison's cards have been described as "tranquil, beautiful, gorgeous and brilliant!".

Bob Chesley

Bob bases his card designs on original digital photography and digital photography enhanced with a light touch using Photoshop to bring out the essense of his images.

Bob enjoys outdoor adventure trips as a source for his outdoor digital photography.

Recent trips have included: telemark skiing at Whistler British Columbia, backpacking in Desolation Wilderness in the Sierra Nevada, and canoeing in northern New England.

Company Mission

We started Artisan Cards as a vehicle to allow us to pursue our individual artistic interests and share the results with like minded people.

Since our inspiration is drawn from the natural world it was also important that the business be based on a green perspective. Our use of an on demand approach to production supports this because it results in zero waste.

We also donate a portion of our annual profit to selected conservation organizations.
